It's been, what, over a week since the start of community lockdown in Metro Manila, which is now, in Luzon...


What precautionary measures have we been doing?


STAY HOME! If it's within our control, don't go out! That's the best that we can do apart from praying, of course...


Let me tell you about MetroMart. First off, what is MetroMart and how to get started?



What is MetroMart?


MetroMart is an online shopping app.

They will do the shopping for you. That's the simplest way to describe it.

And because I couldn't go out, Google helped me. I searched...


I found MetroMart when I was looking for an online shopping site on Facebook because I couldn't go out - I don't' have a car. We must buy in bulk since we'll be donating stuff to our friends here in Montalban. We know the government is helping, so as HOA here in Centella Homes Subd - I salute you guys!

Yet, we also know that people are still in need. This no-work-no-pay is understandable for business owners and real to drivers, construction workers, street vendors, and more.

So with the help of my family and churchmates and friends, tadaaaaah! Relief goods are on their way!

You can sign up using your Facebook account. You've got to also enter your delivery address and phone number.

Some items have a limit - like for canned goods, which can be bought for at most 20 units per listing and 5 units only for noodles. Well, I can't say really - it depends on the store and on the type of item. For alcohol, you can buy only 1 and the same goes for other disinfectants like Clorox and Lysol or alike.



Things to Consider before Check out!


    1. You must indicate if you will allow your shopper to choose similar items for out of stock products. I missed this part on my first order.
    2. They may not be able to deliver within 90 minutes due to the current situation that our country is in, so please bear with them. Mine was scheduled to be delivered the next day.
    3. I don't think COD is available. Prepare your credit/debit card.
    4. They're not very responsive to Facebook and/or email. So be sure to check everything before paying. Not sure why; maybe because of work hours.  I ordered Sunday and I don't think they work on weekends.
    5. There's a FREE delivery option but YOU MUST BUY from their participating items. It varies from time to time so just be sure to check on this before finalizing your order.
    6. There is a shopping fee - I do not know how much for other stores, but in my case, we only have one option in Montalban which is Robinsons. Mine was 320 PHP.

I think that's it - just go ahead and sign up now if you think this will be useful for you. As for me, I believe that this app is a blessing in times like this.
