Misguided Heart

The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? - Jeremiah 17:9.

"WHO CAN UNDERSTAND IT?" Even us can be fooled by our own hearts. In layman's term, we cannot trust ourselves. So who should we trust then? Our friends? Parents? Bosses? Partner? The Bible says, "...the Lord search all hearts and examine SECRET MOTIVES."

People are bias and selfish. That's why you and I always have to ask ourselves, "Am I doing this in a pure manner?" or "Am I doing this with a righteous intention?" 

Having an idol is a sin. Anything that goes into our lives that takes over God's place is a sin. When we face problems, who do we call first? Do we pray or do we post it on facebook first? Last week, we talked about: "Do I have a doubtful heart?"

Now, let's again CHECK OUR HEARTS, "Do I have a misguided heart?" FIX: having an anchored heart. I love what Pastor Manny shared to us, "Do not facebook your problems, FACE them --- Focus your Attention on Christ's Empowerment)
 
Let us always guide our hearts. Let the Holy Spirit lead us. Never desire anything that God does not desire for you.

Remember this blog ? I can't help but write about what's next... I met a guy at work when I was in college. I was a working student. I loved him, and it was my heart's choice. Again, I let my heart rule. I was so into him, that I was even willing to leave my family for us. He smokes, he drinks, he didn't want to attend school, and worst thing is he cheated on me. From what I knew, it was only 3 times but it's no longer important. He broke up with me on our 3rd year anniversary. He chose to be with his girl, she was his officemate. My world crashed.
