Now meditate on this question, “WHY THANK GOD?”

Are you the kind of an agent who complains a lot if it’s high call volume? Or is it not your nature to share knowledge with your subordinates? A hot-headed supervisor? Does not take accountability for your failed CSAT, instead, you put the blame on others? Do you cheat and lie so you can take advantage of your SL credits? Does your pleasure depends on your friends and at the end of the day you would end up empty? Do you rely on energy drink and coffee instead of asking God to give you strength? Do you smoke to relieve stress instead of praying?
What has God been teaching you lately?
Let’s examine ourselves. Do we have an attitude of gratitude? Last November 28, US celebrated Thanks Giving Day. Now, think of the things that would make you say, “Thank you Lord, for a victorious Christian life.”
This is the life cycle of a Christian: Jesus died for our sins … we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior … we are saved from eternal death … But, from the day that you accepted Jesus until the day that you’ll die, what will you do?
Go back to the question, as to what has God been teaching you lately?
We have a terminal illness called sin. Because of God’s love, we are saved. Therefore, no one can allege us of being guilty as Jesus already paid for our debts. He gives us victory over sin --- we are given the capacity to say “NO” to whatever is displeasing to God. And Jesus didn’t just save us from our immoralities but he also took away our desire to do evil things. We are now facing this world with faith and confidence.
How to live a victorious Christian life?
First, again, we accept Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior. Then we continue to be rooted in God --- by means of praying, doing quiet time, fellowship --- Sunday service, DGroup, etc. We should seek glory and ask ourselves, “What would Jesus do?” in all the decisions we make. We should continue to strengthen our faith and pursue Jesus. We must continue to know the truth by reading the bible --- study, obey and share the gospel.
Are we getting it?
(Romans 8:1-3) “So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Jesus. And because you belong to Him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death. The Law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving His Son as a sacrifice for our sins.”
